Hurricane Bud and Tropical Storm Carlotta continue across the Eastern Pacific today, posing no threat to land. Some upper and mid-level moisture will eventually feed into southwest areas of the United States from the systems. Bud will likely strengthen to a category 3 storm before dissipating and Carlotta will likely gain hurricane status by Thursday evening.
As for the Atlantic basin, there is a tropical wave in the eastern Caribbean bringing showers and thunderstorms to the region, but development is unlikely as the upper-level wind pattern and environment remains unfavorable for strengthening.... |
